From a young age I fell in love with art, movement, creativity and culture. Bharatha Natyam is the avenue which always me to express my whole self and share my love for art and culture. I was inspired to become a professional artist by my Gurus The Dhananjayans of Chennai India. Having been a professional artist since 2004, I have found in Sydney Australia there is limited opportunity and funding for professional Bharatha Natyam dancers. In 2006 I founded Rasana Dance Theatre. Rasana Dance Theatre has been a platform for both local dancers and musicians to creatively explore their art form and perform at a professional level. The continued success and ability to provide opportunity continues to be my career goal.
